John Sandston

John Sandston has been the Trust's Honorary Solicitor since 2020, boasting a distinguished career in the legal profession that spans over three decades, starting in 1987. With no plans for retirement in sight, he proudly serves as a Nelson Barrister and has held various pivotal roles within numerous organisations across Aotearoa, New Zealand. These include serving on a health board, two school boards, the New Zealand Rugby Union, and the New Zealand Law Society. When not immersed in his professional endeavours, John,alongside his wife Katie, finds solace and joy at their beloved retreat in nearby Honeymoon Bay Kaiteriteri or embarking on adventures near and far to be with their three children. Committed to community service, he is a former volunteer at the Brook Waimarama Sanctuary and passionately upholds the trust's values.
